A stunning faceted robin egg blue turquoise has been set in sterling silver with a handmade ring band from 14 karat gold filled twisted wire. Each stone is 10mm in size and is a solid light blue rose cut stone.
Gold filled means that the ring band 14/20 gold bonded over brass metal. The first number is the karat purity of the gold used; the second number is the amount, by weight, of gold to the substrate material. The value of gold-filled is greater than gold-plated because gold-filled has an actual layer of karat gold, not just a microscopic film.
